Gilgamesh - Character Designs
Here the character designs for Gilgamesh and his opponent, Humbaba. Gilgamesh is a very arrogant king in the story. He has very shiny armor and a crown to show this off. Humbaba was a terrible monster, whose face was made of entrails (really!). It was fun designing that character :)

Gilgamesh: City thumbs
For my new project I am visualizing the epic of Gilgamesh, which has some very interesting characters, places, props and vehicles to design! Ever since I read this story (during my study archaeology a long long tme ago :p) I've wanted to visualize it, so now I will :) Here are some quick thumbs for the city of Uruk, where the epic starts.

Medieval Knights
last week I focused on Eastern armours, this time I wanted to know more about medieval armour so I sketched these three designs. There are so many variations and shapes, it's very interesting and inspiring!

Eastern Warriors
I made these quick armour designs a couple of days ago. They are inspired by ancient eastern armours. I wanted to explore the shapes and colours of these armourstyles and make these into game character designs. I think I like the first one best!

The Mantodea
I've been designing a researchmech, inspired by a praying mantis :-) It's a vehicle that allows scientists to collect and gather materials for study.

Speedpaints - Mechanical
Yes, I've also been doing vehicle speedpaints, kind of new for me :-) But I enjoy doing this so much! They took about 1 hour each to complete.
Speedpaints - Japan
Been doing a lot of speedpainting, here are some of them. All of them not more than 1 hour, and inspired by Japan :)
